Forget the Ghostbusters. When there's something wrong in my neighborhood, I'm calling one of these gun toting Hollywood women. Werewolves, assassins, zombies and bad guys have nothing on these fierce and sharp shooting starlets. So sit back, relax and have a look at our list of the Top 10 ½ (yes, I said ½) Famous Film Girls with Guns from the past ten years. And remember: never send a man to do a woman's job.

I'll be the first to admit that in some ways I'm a bit envious of our #3 Hollywood actress, Rose McGowan who plays the part of Cherry Darling in the 2007 flick Planet Terror. When an experimental bio-nerve gas is released at a U.S military base in Texas the individuals who are exposed to the gas turn into flesh eating zombies called “sickos.” Cherry, a go-go dancer with big dreams of becoming a stand-up comedian is left unaffected and joins forces with some other locals (including her “not so ex” boyfriend Wray) to fight off the sickos who threaten to take over. I'm sure at this point you're wondering why the heck I'm at all envious of Cherry, but allow me to continue. You see, after Wray and Cherry swerve off the road to avoid hitting a sicko, Cherry is grabbed from Wray's truck and taken into the woods by a group of sickos who rip off her right leg. No, that's not the envious part. My envy comes into play when Cherry receives a new limb in the form of a Bushmaster M16 Carbine with grenade launcher which proves to be more useful than ever given the current situation. With her new limb intact, Cherry is transformed from a small town go-go dancer to a semiautomatic, badass heroine of humanity.

She may not work for Charlie or be named Natalie, Dylan or Alex, but Madison Lee, who is played by Demi Moore in the 2003 flick Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle is one kick ass fallen Angel. When a confidential witness protection program database goes missing and some members of the program start turning up dead, the three Angels fly onto the scene to bring the perpetrator to justice. However, the Angels soon find that the bad guy (or in this case, bad girl) is Madison Lee, a fallen Angel who rationalizes her actions by asking the question, “why be an Angel when I can play God?” Shooting a Desert Eagle Mark XIX and Bersa Thunder .380 pistol, Madison Lee is tough as nails as she portrays an Angel who somehow misplaced her halo and turned to a life of crime.

Revenge isn't only bittersweet, it's beautiful in the 2009 film Inglourious Basterds. In Basterds, Mélanie Laurent plays a Jewish woman named Shosanna Dreyfus who witnessed the slaughter of her family as a child by Colonel Hans Landa as they hid beneath the floorboards of a house in Nazi occupied France during World War II. After narrowly escaping with her life, Dreyfus disappears only to emerge years later as the owner of a movie theater. It's here that German war hero Fredrick Zoller takes an interest in Dreyfus and decides to hold a movie premiere at her theater. With the promise of having every major Nazi officer (including Hitler himself) in attendance, Dreyfus realizes this is the perfect opportunity for revenge and decides to reveal her Jewish identity to the Nazis in attendance before burning down the theater. As the night of the big show finally arrives and the film is rolling, Zoller decides to come pay Dreyfus a visit in the projectionist's room, throwing a major wrench in her plan. But as they say, the show must go on, so Dreyfus pulls a Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket pistol from her purse and shoots Zoller. While Dreyfus may not be as trigger happy as some other characters on our list, this single shot is more than enough to land her a spot at #9 as it helped rid her of the annoying Zoller so she could continue on with her final performance.
