Awesome stuff! A lightly greased pad will take care of the barrel and the inside of the slide. It will work for the slide rails as well, but the 308 is more recommended for the slide rails. Both are a must!

I''m happy with the oil. I shoot frequently (IDPA), and this oil lasts much longer than the Beretta oil I''ve been using. It''s lasting properties also seem to help during break-in, making the action nice and smooth. I''ve used it on my M-4, Mini-14, Springfield XD-45, and SIG-PRO 9mm with great results.

Excellent Product! I purchased SPEC 357 for use on firearms and airguns and found it performed as advertized. The bonus came when I tested it on my fly fishing lines. I''ve ruined a few expensive fly lines due to another brand of so-called sythetic reel lube accidentally contaminated my fly line. I tested SPEC 357 and found no adverse effects on the brand of fly line I use. I now use it on all of my fly reels.

I give this lubricant 100% as I also am a chemistry student as well as an avid firearms enthusiast. This is a no brainer, all natural lubricants will break down. I can''t take the time to explain the distillation of crude oils into products, but synthetic oils are chemically more stable and of course, pure, as the process is an exact science for the product being made. (I also use synthetic oil in my Chevy truck too). Great buy, don''t need to use much, so it will last a long time and never break down. For the price of a sandwich and a soda, you can have the best.

I recommend adding a few extra details for buyers in the description section of this product how it''s used with, or seperate from: ITEM #42268''s SPEC308 COPPER PASTE LUBRICANT. Some GLOCK consumers may be unsure applying this lube on it''s own or combined with the SPEC308 copper paste. Default assumption is SPEC357 oil is mainly used ONLY for the trigger lever bar pivot mechanism located in the back of Glock firearms on average whereas the copper paste lubricant should be used for everything else while using both lubricants during NORMAL cleaning service without having to strip down the entire firearm down to every piece. the concept of using synthetic lube does do a better job and seemingly a cleaner job compared to crude lubes. someone will have to point out to me the difference between this synthetic lube (oil) and the synthetic used for vehicles. selling a one ounce bottle for around 6 bucks isnt as cost effective as using a quart of synthetic motor oil at the quart price.

Works well as a lubricant. A little goes a long way.I used it on my Colt Python and it seemed to work well on it. I havnt used it long enough to say anything about it''''s corrosion fighting abilities but it does seem to stay in place without evaporating away.Im going to keep using it til it''''s gone and report again when I have seen what it does over a longer term.
